Social8 is a freedom alternative social media platform. You may open a group or forum discussion or post to your activity feed, any topic providing it's not pornographic.
We do not track your identity or online browser activities i.e. we do not integrate with Google or Facebook or any external trackers with the exception of private site-arrival analytics.
Like how all platforms should be - we have no opinion on any topic or subject matter. Social8 must be neutral, this means we (the platform) will not push, present or carry any bias.
Our values include freedom of speech and expression of speech. However, not everyone appreciates this. Therefore, we allow members to display avatars and handles (names).
We're a new, alternative social media project.

Is Social8 free?
Yes – the base “starter” plan will always be free. Right now this is the only plan as we’re a project validating and building features out slowly (as of January 2022). We will introduce a “Premium” and a “Business” plan later in the year. Currently, the Premium plan is being offered at a significant discount for early-adopting members – you can purchase directly via our sales site or make a risk-free pledge.
How do I join Social8?
It couldn’t be easier. Right now, the only option is our free “Starter” plan. Click to “Join now” here, anywhere on this site or on our information site.
Can my business advertise?
Yes. You simply need to be a member first (currently, this includes the free “Starter” plan members; this will change later). Please send an email to: admin@social8.net or submit a form on our information website. We can discuss options manually at significant discounts. Later, this process will be automated.
Where can I go for support?
You may email us any queries: help@social8.net or via our information website, submit a form or click the blue icon button (bottom right) – search FAQ’s in your own time or submit a chat request. You may also ask an admin or moderator questions from within the Social8 platform (varied availability) by logging in. This will eventually become a Premium plan member-only feature.
